clinical psychologist

Iam, first and foremost, an Honorable Discharged Veteran of the US Army. I am an Army Girl.

I have been an educator with over a decade of experience working within the intricacies of the educational system, educating the young minds of the community where I live.

Clinical Psychologist Candidate, widely known as Marie Dupont, is a mother of three young men raised in Union County; she is a dedicated educator and scholar who has worked to improve the lives of children and families in Roselle. With almost two decades of experience as a public school teacher, Dupont has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing students and families in the district.

Driven by her desire to help her students overcome these challenges, Dupont decided to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. While completing her studies, she has also worked as a Clinical Psychologist Intern, providing therapy and counseling to individuals and families in need.

Dr. Thelot-Dupont's work as a psychology draws on her experience as a teacher and her commitment to developing evidence-based interventions that help students overcome obstacles, especially those with special needs education, while completing her research on Parental Involvement and Academic Achievement of Students with ADHD. She is a passinate advocate for mental health and well-being. She works tirelessly to raise awareness of addressing mental health issuse in her school and community.

Before she launched her career in education, Dupont served as a Specialist in the US Army and deployed as a field medic in South Korea. Dupont is an Honorable Discharge Veteran of the United States Armed Forces.

She graduated from Sara J Hale High School in Brooklyn, New York. I obtained my Business and Public Administration undergraduate education at the City University of New York and SUNY Albany.

She debuted her career as a Budget Analyst at the State Department Of Education in Albany, NY, under the late Governor Cuomo, Sr.

In New York, the never sleeps City; she worked at the United Nations for the NGO Committee on Disarmament under Kofi Annan. I worked at Wall Street for Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., a brokerage firm, and Bellevue Hospital, a New York City Hospital.

She worked at Saint Michaels Medical Center and the Roselle Public School District in New Jersey. She also received two graduate studies diplomats at Walden University: a Master of Science in Education focusing on Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; and a Master of Art in General Psychology. Presently, she is a Clinical Psychologist, Ph.D., pursuing a clinical internship for licensing. Whether an educator or a therapist, Dupont inspires her students, colleagues, and community and continues to be a tireless advocate for social justice and equity in education and mental health. She loves being in the helping professions, promoting positive social change.
