Bishop charles e. mitchell sr. holds a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Pastoral Theology from the Metropolitan Theological Seminary of New York. He also has a Doctorate degree from the United Theological Seminary.

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. accepted his call, to the Gospel Ministry and began preaching under the pastorate of the late Dr. T. Van B. Rhoe, at the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Newark in 1983. There he served 18 years and was the first Youth Minister in the history of the Church.

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. was ordained in 1987 and served faithfully for 3 years as the assistant Pastor of the Greater New Point Baptist Church in Irvington, NJ. In 1993 he was called to the pastorate of the Unity Baptist Church of the Oranges in Orange, New Jersey. Once there he knew he needed to expand the scope of his ministry and in 1995 he organized Project Redirect Outreach Ministries Inc.

In March of 2002, Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. was called to serve as Senior Pastor for True Vine Baptist Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Bishop Mitchell served there for 18 years.

On October 2014 Bishop Mitchell was consecrated and appointed to the position of 3 rd Presiding prelate of Church Alive Ministries International under the direction of Arch Bishop Donald J. Washington, Columbus Ohio.

In March of 2019 Bishop Mitchell was called to become the Rector of New Redeemer Reformed Episcopal Church of Jersey City. On March 2020 the contract at New Redeemer Reformed Episcopal expired. Bishop Mitchell is now the serving as Senior Pastor of Project Redirect Ministries Outreach located in Roselle NJ.

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. served in many civic organizations, PBA local 183 and is a member of the National Association of Sheriffs. He is a commissioner of Public Safety for Newark North Jersey Committee of Black Churchmen; inducted in the Cambridge Who's Who in Religion. Bishop Mitchell is the Host of Kingdom of Destiny television Broadcast, Harken Spiritual Television Network. He is also one of the Sunday School expositors at the Baptist Ministers conference Newark and Vicinity.

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. has been married to his beautiful wife Elder Robin Starr for over 37 years. They are the proud parents of two sons, Charles 2nd and Elder Michael.

Bishop Charles E. Mitchell Sr. believes in empowering the people by teaching and preaching the word of GOD. Some call him a walking bible. He believes that God will give you a destiny that's not written on paper but etched in stone.
